In a court of law someone would surely be convicted of a crime if there were a few eye-witnesses. What about 10 witnesses? Jesus was seen by more than 514 eye-witnesses after His resurrection! This list doesn’t include Mary Magdalene and the two men on the road to Emmaus.
One might argue that Jesus, the Messiah, has yet to come. Others claim Him to have been a prophet. Then there are those that believe Jesus never existed. Beloved, we are witnesses of Christ and His resurrection. If we preach that we believe in Christ, then we also testify of His resurrection.
Oh, the power of the resurrection! It is not just the resurrection of Jesus Christ, it is our resurrection as well! There are many distractions in this life that seek to deceive our hearts. There is much misguidance and confusion that has caused the Church to only speak of the resurrection but not live it.
How do we live the resurrection? We live the resurrection by building up in our flesh the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. There is no resurrection without death. We not only live unto Christ, we die unto Christ. We find our life encompassed in His wounds as we desire a heavenly body that is without sin. This glorified body is found only in resurrection. Are you prepared to be living proof of the resurrection of Jesus Christ? Will you be His witness?
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25
